13th Annual Santa Cruz County Día de los Muertos Altar Tour

The Nogales–Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce invites businesses, organizations, and community partners to be part of the  13th Annual Santa Cruz County Día de los Muertos Altar Tour, a countywide celebration honoring culture, family, remembrance, and the stories that connect our communities.

For 2026, the Chamber is expanding the traditional altar experience into an interactive cultural and tourism initiative connecting businesses, organizations, residents, and visitors throughout Santa Cruz County. Participating locations will create meaningful ofrendas and become official stops along the Altar Tour.

Visitors will be encouraged to explore participating locations throughout Nogales, Rio Rico, Tubac, Tumacácori, Amado, Patagonia, Sonoita/Elgin, and surrounding Santa Cruz County communities, discovering the stories behind each altar while supporting local businesses and experiencing the culture and character of our region.

The Día de los Muertos Altar Tour is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to preserve cultural heritage, honor the people and families who have shaped our communities, promote local businesses, encourage tourism, and showcase Santa Cruz County as a culturally rich Southern Arizona destination.

Through sponsorship, your organization can help make this experience possible while receiving visibility through a multi-location campaign reaching residents, visitors, businesses, and community organizations throughout the county.

Together, we can create an experience that honors the past while supporting the future of our community.
